I've seen it done, but it's always preferable to go E85 if you can get it. I'd say in comparison E85 will be safer, but pump gas can be tuned for the 10:1. You won't see the HP you want due to the more conservative tune, but it can be done. Oh and if you plan on tracking the car use E85

10.0:1 Compression on pump gas means you have to be very very conservative...... If you're switching to 93 permanently and want to make any kind of power you may consider Meth or Alcohol injection..its cheap and easy..

Boost will be low and timing will be low to keep it safe..

FWIW I tuned my buddies DSM with arias 10:1s to 35 PSI (~60 lb/min) on midish framed turbo (some oddball garrett) on pump/meth 1000 cc of meth .. it was pretty nasty really 35 psi 17 degrees timing advance.. felt really strong and a reasonably quick spool...

A good intercooler goes a LONG way on pump gas though too... and Meth makes things even better ;-)

Read the bottom of the page, if thats not enough to say 10:1 will be fine on pump then nothing will be

i prefer conservative tho, the car is gonna be my dd. the motor just came with the car and i was hopping i didnt have to sell it for it to drive the way i want to..

ive used meth b4, i might keep it under consideration

i have e85 not that far to me, my problem is since my car is dd, whats gonna happen if i go out of state and run low on gas with no e85 close to me

No problem is the answer to the question BUT you need to have some other good parts and not just higher compression. FMIC and cams will be helpful.

You'll be perfectly fine at 25psi with those mods. I have a Buschur 2.1 10:1 @ 27psi... stock turbo, but my tuner said he could have got even more HP out of adding boost - I just started running out of injector.

I will be throwing bigger injectors in this week, and getting re-tuned.

Valve timing events will determine whether or not you can run pump gas with 10:1 static compression. Calculating your dynamic compression ratio will give you a better insight as to how much boost you can run on that compression ratio and how conservative you will need to be on timing.
