Everyone I have called regarding tuning a 2.3l 10:1 engine on pump gas say it is no problem. The moment I ask if 25 psi + is possible, they respond with are you freaking nuts... do you want to keep the car... Buschur is the only one actually willing and able to tune 10:1 on pump with higher boost then 18-22... sigh

Thats the plan David, but its easier said then done. I have a thread open.. trying to figure out how to get a vehicle that cannot be driven down to you without getting destroyed by the border officials...im afraid im going to have to pay for a tune down here just to drive down to you for a tune... sigh

Why can't you tow it across the border and tell them it doesn't run and you are taking it to a specialist in the States to have repaired?

This was the plan but I called both the canadian and us border agencies on tuesday and as per border officials, the vehicle will then be considered modified (better value when entering canada then when going to the us...ie not running to running) and will then need to be appraised and based on that I will have to pay duty and taxes on full value of the vehicle... Completely bogus... They told me if I can drive it across it wont be an issue This is by far going to be the hardest part of my build...

You don't have to drive the car at WOT. Does it run? Shouldn't be hard to put a tune in it that will work to drive here.

I have no intention of hitting boost at all when coming down to you. Not to mention WOT. You guys have my engine right now, Nick said its roughly 5 weeks away. Thats what I was planing on but was told that a basic email tune to get me to your door was not possible.

I dont think it will even run when I install the engine mainly due to the:
ID 2000 cc injectors
AEM EMS 2 W/SD conversion

Since you are buying the engine and such from us blah blah. Send me an e-mail, remind me of what's going on in it and let's discuss this via e-mail. davidbuschur@buschurracing.com
