Seriously, there is way better options here.
funny thing is the car only had 1 count of knock with the timing like that around 3500 lol, dunno but i reduced it alot.

You might should check to make sure your knock filters are set to stock if that barely had any knock.

now that it was, afr was 12.0 @ wot, now its 11.0 raising to 11.3~ by redline.

I'm also having some very retarded issue's @ idle/crusing thinking it gunked up the front o2 from the richness waiting for my replacement to see.

How your Evo could run 12:1AFR 9* to 19* on pump gas, knock tables untouched. Am I missing something? You're the first one running so much timing without knock...
I first thought he flashed his E85 crappy timing map on your car.

I don't want to argue about something like that... and I'm happy that you retuned this poor engine Also good luck with your O2 replacement, mine was stuck VERY hard (nearly welded) in the stock O2 housing.

I'm pretty shocked that it could go that lean and that much timing

I'm angry at my VIII, why doesn't it take that much (I must have bought a frigid one)
Seriously, maybe he could run this timing and AFR at wastegate pressure but still I'm not sure it'd go that far.

Yeah I'm not looking forward to fighting the o2 sensor out lol. might just get a o2 housing and a new o2 sensor so i dont have to bother but then i have to fight more than one threaded object lol.

I told you that wrong, It was 12 afr after i put a complete stock map on the car, it was low 10's before I started adjusting things.
But I've checked the knock tables over and over to make sure with a few different stock maps to make sure it was stock filtering

Any reason you bumped the idle timing up with stock cams and re-scaled up to 380 load and 8500rpm? You need to have less steps up/down in timing and smooth it out a bit to keep the car from getting knock happy. Have you considered going to a Tephra V7 rom? You will have massive maps and can smooth the timing much better than with the small maps.

Believe it or not, it really does make idle smoother than stock with stock cams (as well as raising idle target idle to 1k). At least it has on mine.

Kaonashi, the 10 afr is the only thing that saved that poor motor lol. I guess the thought behind that tune was give it hell with the timing, and chase the knock out with fuel. Glad your fixing it.

Weird, I never had a rough idle with stock cams for the 5 years I ran them. Hell, I still run 5* timing at 900rpm with Kelford 272 and it is still smooth as can be.

Each car has its own little quirks. Mine has always had a little "bump" at idle for some reason, everything checked out fine in the ignition hardware. Bumped the timing to 8* and raised the idle, no more bump.

Maybe the ix's are a tad different than the viii's with that. Experiment with it one day and see what it does for you.

Exactly, IX idle is much smoother with upgraded cams vs a VIII.

Kaonashi, for your new map, its looking much more on target for your setup
Your timing could drop quicker on spoolup (120-200) it would help with knock and reduce spool time.
IMO well scaled and well tuned small maps can be enough smooth because interpolation will take care of the rest (if a car hits 300+ load, that's another story).
You should consider switching to V7 for easier to smooth big maps and especially for all the other settings and features.
