Yea I was there when Al was doing the Bro Tune and all of a sudden the car was dead and started smoking really bad after that, they had to buy the car off pete that same day! because if they didn't it was going to go Viral on the internet and get really ugly. I admire that car when DB did his magic and then AL touched it done deal it was over. When I drove that car it was perfect and wicked fast a 9's for sure with out even trying.

A couple years back my car had 10k on a built longblock previously tuned by Bill of stock ecu. I had ZERO problems with the car for almost a year. So i decide to step up to the plate, put an AEM in the car and turn up the boost and let Al tune it. Third pass on the dyno at 27psi on pump and alky the head lifts. He claims the previous tune and poor motor assembly was the cause of this. Not the 23 degrees on peak timing No not that Bro. So after i pull the head off i noticed number 3 piston had signs of pre-ignition. I send the picks to Al and again he blames it on the previous tuner. So stupid me fixes the motor and brings it back to him. He finishes tuning it and it made good power (580hp on pump 670 on race). Roughly 3k miles later BOOOMMM. Melted all 4 pistons, snapped the intake cam, bent all the valves, and burned the head. He tells me my fuel system and alky kit sucks and thats why it blew up.
Jesus God, I can't believe stuff like this happens to people and they have the heart to keep modding their cars afterwards. I think I'd find a new hobby.

While we're all reminiscing here I'm going to share my favorite Al moment. Beats an Evo at the strip, proceeds to dismount camera from dash so he can record himself talking **** to the driver. You stay classy Al.

I got a mail in flash by him in 2004... Then in 2007 got dyno tuned.. Never any problems with the motor or tune, but he was a character. Pruven worked on my car once and i would never go back. I remember seeing shark bites evo there. Now that my car is going back on the road i look forward to getting a new tune by evo dynamics. Oh how times have changed

He def. had the Evo community in the palm of hands. I remember the few times he came into town and there were people taking days off at work to get tuned by him.

How times change!!!
