Getting ready to install a Exedy Triple Disk Clutch. Had a Question on Staggering the Disk. Do You Stagger the Disk or do you Line Up the Holes

Not sure about the triple but on my twin the discs are staggered.

Per Exedy:

Adam, Thank you for using Exedy products. The disc orientation does not matter on the triple. The intermediate plates come with a zero balance so they essentially can go in any orientation without issue. If the motor is being rebuilt it is good to balance the clutch and flywheel with the crank. If you have any other questions regarding please feel free to contact me.

From Me:
Would it make more sense to stagger the discs?

Exedy:
At several thousand RPM it will not matter. In most cases discs are staggered for clearance reasons between rivets. Either way the Exedy triple plate will function the same.

Sincerely, Evan Cline

Did you have any issues with the retainer clip attaching to the tob? I pulled my clutch fork into the retainer and it wouldnt attach, finally i did it with some force and detached/broke the retainer, i'm pulling the clutch trans out now. Any advice would be great.
