BOV leak. Aftermarket suggestions.

So my BOV in my 05 GSR SSL is leaking. Lost a noticeable amount of power and now I finally have the money to fix it. I have a few questions regarding whether or not you will need to get it retuned if it's had an aftermarket tune done before. I have been looking at this bov to replace my stock one but am not 100% sold.

Edit: I am running 24 psi.

is it a direct fit? Why a stock bov over any aftermarket?

I have that exact GFB Respons bov and it works GREAT! I run it with about 5-10% vta and found that works the best (full bolt ons, tune, 25lbs). It helped get rid of some of the jerkyness when driving in traffic. Also helped my idle (not sure why, had a greddy S before it).

The IX bov will work for you, but I've heard of some leaking after people turn the boost up passed 24 lbs.

You won't need a re-tune.

The 9 is a direct fit, we can also get you a turbosmart plumb back valve if needed. It's a direct replacement as well.

I want to get rid of some jerking but also just want a replacement that won't be too much of a hassle/need a tune.

As well is that a DV? Will that need to be replaced as well as the BOV? Sorry for the noob questions as I am extremely new to car engines.

I was also told I may need to replace a "filter" but nothing other than that word so not sure if anyone would know what that means?

DV and BOV are essentially the same thing, its just where the releaved pressure is going that determines if its one or the other. DV recirculates, BOV vents to atmosphere. stock IX valve will do just fine, but a Synapse would be a nice upgrade

so if I went with the evo ix bov, a synapse dv would be a good choice? What maks the evo ix bov better than aftermarket? I kind of want to get this figured out today so I can order the parts and drive again.

Is this what you are talking about?

If I were to get that it would directly replace my BOV?

Get a Forge or the Forge RS. They come with a lifetime no question warranty. I have an RS an was setup on 28psi and it didn't leak at all.

Also a quick question...if I decided to leave my BOV leak over winter, would it cause any damage if I started it every few weeks to drive it around due to letting it sit over winter?
