Evo 3 Stand alone ecu

What ECU should I go with for standalone or are there any plug and plays for the evo 1,2,3s? Planning on upgrading internals turbo piping intake manifolds everything for a build but not sure what would be the best route for ECU and tune. Any advice is appreciated thanks.

Would I have to send my ECU in to get socketed or can I just order the ecm?

It has to be socketed but you could get someone local to you to do it once they know what they are doing.

As Todd said, later Evo ECUs can work too, but ECMLink is more user friendly in my opinion.

Ive done a few swaps with 5/6 ECU's into 1-3's.
Real easy, basic pin swaps and wire in the OBD port.

Running a built motor, HX35, Speed Density etc. etc.
