i went to a tuner and they did one pull and the ecu bricked. what they told me is the 2008s have a problem with this. they told me to go to the nearest Mitsubishi dealership and get ecu upgrade. they also said that the ecu has a countdown clock for how many times you can flash the ecu. does this explanation hold any water?

 

Yes. Your transmission also has a countdown for the number of times you can shift. When you reach that number the trans falls out of the car and walks away.
