high knock on logs

So I recently started logging my car I have my wideband hooked up to my ecu. Looking at the logs i only get knock in the 4000 rpm range. Only 1 count. But I did a non wot log and knock is all over the place. I went from 30 to almost 90% throttle an I get 6 and up to 9 counts. So my question is it normal for this to happen like if you let go off the throttle will the ecu pull timing depending on when and how you handle the throttle? Like I said on a straight wot run I only get 1 count and that's fine. But what about when I'm not going wot what can be expected there? Should there be no knoknock at all?
