ok i think im onto something. i was looking up other people running rich and i found this

Got this fixed. Ended up being timing. The brand new OEM tensioner failed after being on the car for 400 miles. The intake cam skipped 2 teeth, which explains the boost-leak like symptoms and the extremely rich AFRs. It also explains why the compression was so high.
from Ichigo0Soul

everything else the prevous owner did was half assed so why wouldnt the timing belt be. i plan on ripping apart everything tomorrow and checking if all timing marks align.

Strike that im going to stick a screwdriver in #1 find a ghetto tdc see how the cams line up and take it from there.

first time i ever wanted my timing to be off and no such luck. on tdc all marks line up.I said screw it and now im trying to tune it leaner with the accel enrichment so i can lower the afrs on the fuel map.

i dropped from 3000+ it was set to 1.43 so i dropped it to 1.34. made a big difference but still need to go a little lower.

below is what im at now.. im going to drop my afr #s and the accel a little more and re-log. i highlighted 220 and 6500 just to show how it differs from map to log. 12.6_12.0

Are you tuning for E85 or pump gas by the way? What target afr are you trying to hit?

93 pump trying to hit 11.3 but everytime i boost over 10psi the afrs just drop to 10 or lower. the log above was the only time it ran with numbers like that. usually they look like this from today

Any particular reason you went with the BPR8ES over the BPR7ES? Is the issue just at WOT or are the Afr's wacky all through the map regardless of load?

There are alot of parameters that go into tuning afrs right.

If merlin's guide does not make sense to you and you find yourself guessing... pay a tuner to sort it out.

i fixed a few boost leaks but still nothing. ended up hearing a hissing from the turbo during a boost leak test. i thought it was just the air going threw the hot side of the turbo untill i felt around the compressor housing and the back of the comp housing was leaking the gasket turned out to be rock solid. i rtved around it for a temp fix and now my afrs are holding up.
