Is my Innovative Wideband compatible with the UTEC??
Is my Innovative Wideband compatible with the UTEC??
I am deciding on the UTEC but already have a wideband setup... Does anyone know if they are compatible or only with the "Tuner"??
Sorry, their is no way to get the LM's wideband AFR into the UTEC.
The UTEC only works with the TurboXS tuna.
Their is a tool on the wrxhackers site that allows a Tech Edge wideband to be logged at the same time as a UTEC log. It's called the Autologger but it is not available for the EVO.

The good news is with multiple serial ports on a PC, you can log both at the same time.. the bad news is putting the data together in sync is difficult.
If there is enough demand, I can add that functionality to my Dashboard app so the output log for different wideband tools will be compatible and consolidated with the UTEC data, you can then analyse it easier with Data Log Lab's software or anything else that can digest the UTEC/TUNER logs.
Only one bad thing, I don't own that product, so support for it will have to wait.
But don't make your decision NOT to purchase a UTEC just because your Wideband setup currently cannot synchronize the data since its nothing that CAN'T be done..
I can tell you there are definite benefits to running the Tuner/Utec combo since there's native embedded support. But I understand your pain.

Well, the UTEC already an external input for a GM 3Bar MAP sensor, and the AFR is logged when you use the TurboXS Tuner (Wideband O2 setup)
The tuner also has several digital and analog inputs that can be used for logging from the tuner.
I have to agree about the UTEC needing more external inputs (EGT is a good example of something I'd use) However everything relevent that the ECU sees (from the sensors) is able to be logged from the UTEC.

If the UTEC can log external inputs, can it just log the raw voltage? I have an AEM wideband that I want to use with the UTEC. I made a nice spreadsheet that maps out voltages vs. AFRs. I'm sure someone can write a calc routine to convert the voltages to display as AFR. That's the only thing holding me back from getting a UTEC right now.
