Best Haltech tuner for evo 8?

Hey guys so I’m in the middle of a tough situation. I won’t name names because I’d just rather but long story short is that I’m from New York. I asked my tuner if he’s capable of tuning a haltech elite series ecu, he told me yes. I bought an elite 2500 ecu and told him I did, days later he tells me he does not want to tune the car and would rather me get an aem v2 or link g4+. I have my mind made up already and I don’t want to use any other ecu, only the haltech elite 2500 I have. My goal for the car is to make 1000whp. I have not a doubt in my mind that the car won’t make the power, Ik it’s more than capable. Who are some reputable tuners out there in the northeast area that can tune haltech for this type of power?

elite 2500 is a very very good ecu and possibly overkill for the evo but given your power target it may be good.

like you said, your tuner can tune the haltech but is just lazy to touch on another GUI. the tuning parameters are the same.

i think you can load a base map and make some changes to suit your current equipment (inj data etc.) so you can drive the car until you find a proper tuner

He told me straight up that he’s not used to tuning high horsepower Evos with this ecu so he’s not comfortable. I told him if he’s not comfortable I’ll go to someone else to tune the car. It’s just a matter of who can I go to is what I’m wondering

TPG Tuning in Export, PA has a lot of experience with high power Evos, both on stock ECU and Haltech.

Ricks racing in WV/Pa area hes a bad *** tuner. You will find that with the Haltechs. People are afraid to tune them cause they want the easy systems aka AEM,G4 etc.

Here is a list right off Haltechs site
