CA dealer reflash

Having my ECU updated and flashed back to OEM for sale. The dealership is telling me once they do that, I will not be able to touch the ECU ROM. I want to have them do it, pull the OEM ROM off to save, flash my current tune back on to drive it home, then save the OEM ROM for the buyer.
does this sound right?
Or are they not understanding that I plan to pull the OEM ROM to save?

You will still be able to flash back over the ROM they load on it. Maybe they are saying they wont allow you to flash it back while its in their shop?

No, I was very clear about that. I told them I need to flash the current ROM back on to drive it home. She says once I touch the ROM, there will be an issue. Something about having all the updates flashed to the ECU. In fact... if I have ECU updates.. .won't they be flashing the OEM ROM onto the ECU for free??

the "Issue" to them I suppose would be you would be erasing all the updates they just did when you flash back your tuned rom.

Other than that, I have no idea what she is on about.

That's what I was thinking. I told her I'd be saving everything as-is, for the new owner but maybe she's not familiar with how we're able to use ECUFlash.
