Coolant Temp Sensor Issue

Hello all!

I have been getting base logs on my new setup and have noticed that my coolant temps sit at roughly 80*F. I even replaced the sensor and have noticed the same issue. The temp will start out at 300-something and fall to 80* give or take. Does anyone have any clue what may be causing this issue?

the dash gauge starts at C and climbs to about ~40% of the gauge but I know it is causing fueling issues.

thanks in advance!

Are you sure your Eval/formula is correct?

I considered that, but the issue is it is functionally stagnant. I’ll check in a minute once my computer is done updating so I can check the calculation for the sensor.

The thermostat is new and I know it is circulating since the radiator gets nice and toasty after a drive.

So to clarify, my coolant temp through EvoScan is reading Request 07, Function X*1.8+32, Units def F (1 byte)

So unless the request is the wrong location, the calculation is correct.

Did a bit more digging under coolant sensor monitoring and found the coolant temp scales is the correct measure. This reads and shows my car cruising around 180-190F so looks like I am good to go!

I appreciate everyone’s help!
