need help getting TXS map

I just installed HKS 264 cams (intake & exhaust), & BR intake filter and my car needs to be tuned. But, I want to wait until the new TXS firmware gets release so I don't have to spend twice for the tune. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone who has similar setup be willing to send me a copy of 'ur u-tec map?

I know each car is different and most of you will highly not recommend this. But, I think it's better than running stock or TXS stg 1 map. I will eventually tune my car, but right now i'm just learning, so I don't want to touch any settings until I'm comfortable with my tuning ability

Current mods:
Dynoflash base flash
TXS U-Tec w/ Map Switch & EBC
BR Air Filter
HKS 264's cams (Intake & Exhaust)
HKS Downpipe & Hi-Power Exhaust
Ultimate Racing 3" Test pipe
ARP Head Studs
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump kit
Wombat Grounding Kit
APS Dual vent BOV

Mods to be purchase within a week or two !!
RMV IC Pipes or BR upper IC pipe
BR Intake Pipe
Small Battery kit.
Fuel Injector (still undecided) - any recommendation, brand\inj. size? ** I do plan on getting a bigger turbo **

Thanks in advanace !

BTW - any news on the release date of the TXS new firmware ?

I think 272/272 is the cam upgrade that most evo owners use when they change their turbo; not 264/264.

Where did he ask for advice on cams? It looks like he already has some.

Ok.. Here's your first problem.. Although timing is controlled directly in the current firmware, AFR's (fuel map) is not.. Therefore your dynoflash will be relevent when dealing with maps.

I hate to say this, but you will have to get the car tuned if you cannot do it yourself with a wideband O2 sensor.

The good news is the timing and boost portions of your map will not change when you change to open loop fuel control.. only your fueling portion, however I suspect with your dynoflash, the fuel portion of the map will be real close to the open loop fuel control "Background" map and should only need to be refined later.

In other words.. if you want to tune, don't let the firmware hold you back.. If you can wait, just leave it in passthrough or build a boost only map and passthrough everything to the dynoflash for the time being.

Ok.. fuel injectors, my recommendation is 660 or 680 cc's Anything larger is just not necessary for most mods unless you get a giant turbo and run alot of boost. HOWEVER once you get 750cc's or over, your going to have to consider other upgrades to the fuel system (no matter what people say the fuel lines will become an issue beyond that point)

And I've just received a new beta for the firmware which I will be installing tonight, which means their close.. but the old standby "A few weeks" still stands.. Testing takes the longest since as things are found, they have to be addressed and then retested..

What is the new firmware features when released?

Are they gonna have the MAF to MAP conversion like the AEM?

I think the gains would be great if you swithc your MAF To MAP.

Thanks

This has been talked about a few times already..

NO Speed density is not an upcoming feature in the new firmware. According to TXS its a planned future feature.

The MAP sensor addon is not intended at this time for speed density.

However, until you hit over 450 hp, the MAF sensor isn't your issue, but the stock ECU's ability to compensate for the airflow and higher boost levels utilized.

With an inexpensive MAF translator and GM Hot-wire sensor you can eliminate the MAF as a restriction and retain drivability.. Or you can use the more expensive Ultimate-Racing blowthrough MAF sensor.

(It seems like the only reason most people are using the Speed density conversions is to use VTA blowoff valves anyway.. most aren't producing enough horsepower to justify the expense of the AEM unless its part of their upgrade path)

Yeah, I already have the cams installed... I was gonna get the 272's tho.. but, I decided to go with low\mid power so I can enjoy the quick lunch

Jack - I really appreciate your help along with the input on the firmware release. I'll go with 680 cc's for the injectors as suggested, now where can I buy these for a good price.

Since I'm waiting for few more mods and for the time being, I'll just run stock map
