Lightbulb Evo 8 stage 2 vs Evo 9 stage 1 dyno!

Hey guys,

I finally got my car back on the dyno today and here is my result. I would say the FMIC helped the car in making the same power 5 pulls one after another.

My current mods: (CA 91 octane)
Gruppe-S Ecutek tune

HKS R spec FMIC
HKS 272/272
Helix O2 housing
Tanabe 70mm dp
Helix HFC
HKS exhaust

We dyno an Evo9 right after my car so the temp is around the same. As you can see, our dyno reads much lower than other dynos around the bay. I am not sure how other Evo 9s are making 280-290 whp with just a tune and tbe. One other thing I noticed is the car pull like a NA with much faster peak tq.

Evo 9 mods: (CA 91 octane)
Dynoflash custom tune

Buschur IC pipings with smaller battery
Buschur TB w/ HFC

Stage1 Evo 9 vs Stage 2 Evo 8:

Thanks,
Tom

Gruppe-s ,

So did the FMIC heleped to increase any power?, I am confused, you say it helped but then on the same sentence you said that it makes the same power after 5 pulls..

Did the FMIC really help at all?, thanks!!

Tom meant that the IC wasn't heat soaked after each run which allowed him to pull the same numbers each time. So yes, the FMIC does help.

I have had several street tunes and dyno tunes, the street tunes always seem to run better than dyno runs.
This seems to be true with a flash, Exede, AFC and Power Fc, Ive used them all

The AFR on the Dynoflashed car looks a little dangerous up top.

wow.. that evo 9 is not making that much power... ive seen 275 whp on a dd dyno with just a flash and 295-300 whp with flash and full tbe with hfc on 91.

287 is a good lookin number for a car with those mods on that dyno on 91. Is your car an 03 or 05? and does it have the 10.5 hotside?

his car is a 05 with a 10.5

What tom failed to mention is that he was trying to beat my stock turbo number of 303whp on that same dyno.

Sorry Tom, had to rub it in.
