Evo VIII S2 camgear question

I have a set of S2s in my car (awesome btw) anfd I have my camgears set to -4, -1 (same as my old HKS 272s). I am only making 325whp and with the mods I have, I should be at around 340-350whp. What is the best setting for the most top end power? I am setting the camgears to 0,0 today and will try that out to see what #s I get.

make sure your idle is around 1k rpms with the S2's.

when you say -4 and -1 what are the degree wheel readings as far as centerline. 99 and 112?

I am not exactly sure about this Greg. I have fidanza camgears, they were set to -4(I) and -1(E). I didn't like the feel of this setting and I was only making 325whp/ 351wtq with a laundry list of mods, which should put me between 340-350whp. I changed the settings to 0,0 and now it feels much stronger up top (between 5.5k and 7k). I actually like the idle as it sounds like a 4 cyl dragster, but due to the decrease in vacuum, it stalls more frequently than the HKSs. My vacuum is now between 12 and 14, 16 if I am lucky. Greg, thanks for the info, I will change the settings today, my new idle will be 1050. Also, is there anything I can adjust on the throttle body that will further improve the idle?

I would degree the cams in with a degree wheel to the specs that Greg tells you. With all the testing that GSC does he knows exactly what is going to make the most power with his cams.

So I tested them at 0,0 and I see that the power curve stays flat longer (about 330whp, I think I have a boost leak). Also, the idle is great now that I bumped it up to 1k rpm. I really love these cams! Cant wait to put my HTA35 on!
