HELP!! turbo problem!!

I have a custom turbo setup consisting of a garrett t3, tial 35mm wastegate, hks ss bov, huge spearco intercooler, and misc other stuff. also, i have a vortech fmu with a 12:1 disc for the fuel. anyway, the problem is that i can't go anywhere past 1/4 throttle before it starts hesitating. it will go all the way to redline and boost just fine but i can only hold it at 1/4 throttle. also, yesterday my mechanic took it out for lunch driving it semi-hard. after he had driven 30 miles it had drank almost 1/2 a tank of gas!! any help would be appreciated!! my first thing that i'm thinking it is is that its getting wayyyyyy too much fuel. i ordered an 8:1 recalibration kit yesterday so i hope that takes care of the problem. please provide me with any other thoughts as to what you guys might think it is, thanks!!

to be honest your fueling system is not really accurate enough nor sophisticated enough.

Get some larger injectors (We hav them readily available) and put on at least a normal 1.7 : 1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator with at least an Apexi SAFC controller or equivelent.

This would recitfiy most of your problems.

i am not totally sure but they might be a little big without a controller, b/c they would be flowing too much at time, especially at idle. but with an Apex'i super-AFC they should work fine...certainly no bigger for the boost you are probably running. you should talk to vision imports they can get you some better suited injectors from rpw and probably at a great price. they are good quality.

ok i kno what your problem is. you have too much fuel pressure and that makes it hesitate. My car does the same thing only mine corrects itself with the air/fuel controller. The 12:1 disk is too big of a pressure change i think. I think RRM used those vortec FMU's so you might want to talk to ROCK about it. your definatly dumping too much gas in when the car goes under boost.

I did, but people only lowballed me so I'm selling it to a friend.

EDIT: It's more money, but e-manage may be a better solution for you. You may want to look into it.

ok ,i installed an 8:1 disc and it still does it, not as bad though. i still need a fuel controller and i was wondering if the field sfc-vtec controller would work. now before you say "that only controls vtec" or "we don't drive honda's" read up on the device. it looks as if i can hook it up minus the "vtec" wire and control my fuel setup. i look at it as more of an air/fuel controller with the option to control vtec. tell me what you guys think, thanks

If you don't have VTEC then why spend the extra money on the V-AFC? If I'm correct I think the V-AFC is more expensive than the S-AFC.

If you are going to get a Fuel management system then you should go with larger injectors and a 1:1 ratio adjustable FPR. It will make tuning easier and more consistent than a 8:1 ratio FPR.
