I just read all this i have no life. But anyway I am looking to add a turbo and it seems piecing a kit together yuorself is the better way to go rather than buying a complete kit. Where should I go to start piecing a kit together? Any website or companies to call? Another qeustion is a guy in my car club is starting mithe headers and downpipe and so on is that the way to go?

do a group buy on the turbo kits!

well i signed up for a program that starts this august at my college and well its gonna cost me around 4.5-5k.. if i dont get accepted (hopefully i will) i might just use that free cash to mod up my car a little then slap on the stage 2. so you might be hearing from me soon. or maybe a stage 3 might be out by then jk

*edit* i was browsing around the forums just now and noticed this thread:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=120793
although his car didnt push all the way (cause of his tranny problems im guessing?) its still "1300-1600 price difference" and a lot of ppl in that thread seem to want that kit. i didnt check out their website yet but anyone have some good comparasins between the two?

Ney; dont go with custom set up unless you know what you are doing and also have hooks for your own piping. There is really no need b/c unless you know people im pretty sure youll pay about the same price piecing it together. Just grab that T-25 $2.8k kit. (non-ic). 2.9 with shipping i think (haha). Anyway im excited, hope i can find time to do install. Good luck to anyone who wants one. Just keep savin'! B/c when you get your turbo, there wont be any savin' those ricers

Oh yeah; lol Thanks Arms, if it wasnt for your thread, RRM probably wouldnt have made that sell =P

yeah, if by same price you mean half as much, that yeah, your 100% correct.

look, a custom kit isn't for everyone, especially most of the zombies on here, but is a helluva lot cheaper, don't be confused about that. i think someone was saying 2-2.5g's for a t-28BB with intercooler setup (some used parts, some new)

yes, piping could get a bit expensive, but it just takes a little effort to find someone to do it for ya (anyone with a mandrel bender is now your best friend)

KI: i don't wanna turn this into a SC vs. TC thread, but right now i'm between a ripp stage2 setup or custom turbo setup. as some wise elders of evom have pointed out, it really just depends what your shooting for and what your goals are

haha, immapunkclaimer and i just discovered that we park in the exact same parking lot at the exact same time at school. and yeah, ive been down to RRM a ton of times (just ask rob about me, im the pain in the *** that gave him a lot of **** for tein CO's not fitting on an ES, he'll know exactly who your talking about haha) so i definetly know you guys are good for it though and i trust your products more then anyone, thing is im waiting for my vacation check from work to come in (4 weeks worth of pay) so if i do it its going to have to be during summer, but yeah i definetly want to have the power and the envy of people who think im just another lancer, but yeah, id love to feel what its like to have that kinda power so i just might have to take you up on your offer of a test drive, thad be cool haha
