It's probably just piping and whatever parts you ask for i.e. fuel pump and oil return lines. You know...you fill in the goodies.

EDIT: Looked at it. It's a barebones setup. You provide piping, bov, ic if you want etc. I was kinda close I guess. They show everything included in the pic along with a description.

here is the description from the rrm site...

This kit includes all items seen here! Perfect place to start building turbocharge Lancer. Includes:

New T-28 turbo, heat wrapped up pipe and down pipe, TIAL 35mm external wastegate, oil supply(braided steel) and return line and all fittings, heat sleeve, wastegate dump tube, gaskets, and hardware. This is a great start for either non intercooled or intercooled setup or guys that want to do custom piping etc...

How much potential to save money is there in buying this kit and completing an intercooled turbo assembly? Assuming the RRM full turbo and intercooler kit is the baseline at $4000, could a similar turbo setup be constructed here for $3000 or less?

I wouldnt get it unless you really know what you are doing...if not just spend the extra money and buy the prefabbed kit.

I won't be spending that much money on anything anytime soon... however, aside from the basic concept of a turbocharger, I know very little about the various components that make one up and what particular attributes of each component make them more or less appropriate for different uses.

The more obvious rules like a bigger intercooler for cooler air and a bigger turbo for higher horsepower and smaller turbo for lower-end power don't exactly qualify me to build my own, but I think if I get the money in the next year or two I'd like to give it a shot. I'm not a kit kind of person ;-)

Hacker tweeker Kit is Starter kit. There are some guys that just want the basic set-up in order to utilize their own hook up on other stuff and want to make their own piping etc.
