I'm getting it for $12250, so it's not that bad of a deal for something that still has the warranty. In two or three years I'll be getting rid of it and getting something else, something a little more grown up. Economics was a big driving factor, because I have an engagement ring, house, etc to save up for.
But, where one leaves, another will pick up the reins and take control. I have two buyers lined up for the kit.

That is indeed a hell of a price. Don't let my girlfriend find out you're getting engaged. I already hear about it whenever someone she knows takes the leap.
(Not that I don't want to, I'm just broke as **** atm)

Yeah, I am pretty broke too, but I have been putting aside money every pay check, although I am behind a few paychecks right now. I should have enough for the ring in a few more months, then she can buy me a full exhaust for an engagement present
Yeah, I know how you feel. The Mirage was my first car I ever had... EVER. I was not as privileged as most and my first car came at the age of 22 years old. So I love her to death. And right now she is decently fast and has the potential to be an 11 sec Mirage, but money is thin, and my interests are waning as well. Looking at another vehicle as well just as a nice daily driver, and will try to continue the fight but it is still another 2K before I can say I have a reliable 11 second car.
Now I am at the age where car dreams are dying, and owning a house / starting a family / having money is becoming more of a priority.

How old are you guys?
AirQuez but no matter what you are always going to love your first car.
My first car is my OZ and I know I am always going to keep it. If not, I'll find one when I settle down and fix it all up.

I own a house, have a full time job, blacksmith/weld another 15+ hours per week, married and have a stepdaughter: Car still gets PLENTY of attention (racing, race prep, tuning the friggin eManage- just go find the threads
) and I'm 27. The only thing dying around my house is my old cat
You guys should REALLY give it some thought before you have kids. do NOT go breeding just because your parents want grandkids, the "in" thing to do around the office is have a baby or you think "it might be nice"

You are one-up on me. But maybe that is why the car gets so much attention because you have already achieved what I am leaning towards. I want a house so I cannot continue to spend all the money on the car. Likewise you have the house and everything, while I am still as single as can be. Not in a hurry to be tied down and have kids though.... esp. the kids part but maybe when I do have all these things, I will continue the mod fest.

I got my wide band O2 in the mail finally. The Zeitronix web site is a little misleading from what I can tell. Their package looks like you get items to hook up your existing EGT, but that wasn't included in my kit.
