RPW Turbo Pricing

just ran across this info and wanted to share it with people looking for a good turbo kit at a good price.

anyways:

Posted on RPW's site, it states 170 kW @ 7 psi, which I believe translates into 230HP.

Stage 1: 4,363.00 AUD Australia Dollars = 3,265.46 USD

Stage 2: 6,138.00 AUD Australia Dollars = 4,594.71 USD

What I found pretty interesting is both stages include a real turbo manifold with piping, and stage2 includes a camshaft and cam gear for even more turbo goodness

Only downside is it does not come with any a/f controller, so you would need to pick up emanage or something similar and have it dyno tuned (400 for unit, another 400 or so for some solid dyno tuning, or pick up a WB02 and do it yourself)

Second, because of shipping costs, it does not include IC or IC piping, although you can pick up a stock evo IC and have a shop make up the piping, which is probably a few hundred more

but beyond that, i'm pretty impressed. I think this would be an awesome kit if you are willing to do a little leg work or have the resources to do it yourself. Plus the awesome thing is, this kit (afaik) has farther reaching possibilities than other turbo kits with pretuned PB

RPW has been making nice parts for us for a long time... Too bad they don't have a better marketing strategy

If you want to cut down in cost, you get their stage 1 without the GT-28. Save your-self 1 700$ and get your-self a similar used turbo for maybe 400 or 500. The 1000$ you just saved allows you to get a fuel controller and get it tuned as well.

The cost of the turbo kits for those interested and looking at a viable alternative and superior kit has been reduced thank you to Mr Garret for dropping the price of there turbos.

The cost of the turbo unit itself has dropped from $1727.00 AUD$ down to $1200.00 AUD$. The price listo n our website has not been updated with this information yet.

Remember the RPW kit is the only one to come with a Garret 320hp ball bearing turbo and is one of the only specifically designed turbo kits. We have lancer / mirage vehicels running on stock internals and running 13 psi on these kits and producing 13 sec quarter mile times on stock tyres and without LSD systems.

I can also provide with these kits now a baseline Greddy E-Manage tune to allow you to start the car and drive it to yoru choice of dyno and do a mild cleanup on your tune. This can save you hours of dyno tuning.

The updated price list representing the new price of these kits will be online within the next week.

Can you show us a pic of where the turbo sits and what the manifold looks like?

Here are various photos I have on my files. Should give you a pretty good idea of how they look.

The only variation between teh 4G93 and 4G94 kits is that the dump pipe is made slightly different. The balance of the kit is teh same other than larger injectors and we use the larger turbo's starting with teh 320hp unit with now an option of a 420hp garret as well.

thats an awesome offer

I think alot of people overlook this (IMHO) superior turbo kit. Its got everything done right: ball bearing turbo, real turbo manifold and downpipe, real fuel setup to allow custom tuning, etc.

sure you might have to do a little leg work (get it final tuned, etc) but in the long run, its a much more capable kit in terms of upgrades and customization (camshaft or different fuel mods, where other kits you have to run with what is provided)

auto lancers can run the stage 2 kit no problems or you coudl go larger but the 320hp ball bearing turbo is as big as I would want to run on a stock auto. The torque and hp characteristics woudl exceed its capaibilities I beleive.

Not to say you can't go bigger. As like anythign its your chioce.

I am interested, I am open to getting a kit and seeing what it can do. What are we talking about for shipping? 89108 Las Vegas USA. give me a rough estimate and I can figure out when I can buy it.

I think it would work on the 04 lancers cause it uses an fpr before the stock rail, so no matter what comes after the rail (return or returnless for 04 and 05's) it should work
