I can get a TD05 turbo from some one at work that does not realize what he has for very cheap (suspect he'll take $30-$50). I looked at it and it seams to be in good shape it spins freely and has no play side to side or lateraly no damage to the blades that I can see, its missing the waste gate actuator and has the factory oil lines

 

take it! if it doesnt work or you get lazy or something sell it on ebay. you cant go wrong with that deal

At 50 you could part it for more than that. Go for it.

 

well I got it for $40 I asked him what he thought was fair and he said "i dunno how bout 40" bam I'm on it and away my project goes with a nice start
