Yeah it seems better now. Guess it just took a few to relearn itself. In about 30 seconds i'm signing off here and heading outside to take my bumper off and mock up the intercooler and pipes. We'll see how much cutting and extending is needed
I have some extra pipe laying around so i should be able to get it all together

Anyone know where the best spot to put the stock o2 sensor bung would be? Usually i see em on the downpipe but is it ok to weld it into the turbo dumppipe? I'm gonna be running no downpipe until i can get to the exhaust shop to have a custom downpipe made and i would assume its not a good idea to run without the o2 sensor in. Granted i'm only running it like that for an hour or two while i tighten up any leaks and then drive it to the shop, but i wanna cover all bases

The dump pipe = the pipe coming off the turbo exhaust outlet (combines the outlet of the internal wastegate and the exhaust gas outlet) connecting to the downpipe. I guess the better question is would it be terrible to run without the 02 sensor for a few miles (not boosting) until i get to the shop to have the downpipe fabbed up
If you don't hook up and place the O2 sensor in the exhaust, then your car will go into limp mode and dump as much fuel in the engine as possible. Obviously this isn't a recommended situation, but I'm sure it would be fine to "limp" the car over to an exhaust place.

Yeah thats what i figured. I'm still trying to work the logistics out
I'm going to take a look at the turbo tonight and see what would be the best course of action. Also gotta make a run to home depot and pick up some random intercooler mounting tabs and hose pieces so i can get this all to fit

im runnin with no o2 at all and the only problem i have is not stayin at idle i bosot just fine so from my experience driveablity wise ur fine jsut be glad ur dumpin to much fuel rather then to little

Well, tonight it starts!
I'm putting it in my garage tonight, draining all the fluids, takin off the front bumper, finishing up the lower I/C pipe mounting, and possibly removing the fans/radiator. Got work in the morning friday and an interview in the afternoon so i don't have much time to tear it apart. I'll save that for tomorrow. Wish me luck! Any tips are welcome...By the way, the oil pan fittings are proving to be a PITA. I cannot seem to find in any store near me a 3/8"NPT to 5/8 Hose barb fitting. All i can find is 5/8"NPT to 5/8 Hose and then find reducers, making the thing unecessarily huge and complicated. I'm going to try a marine supply shop next town over tomorrow afternoon and see what they have. I'll start a thread tomorrow with pics to keep everyone informed

Well in an hour last night i was surprisingly productive! Heres whats accomplished so far
-Bumper is off
-Headlights are out
-Battery is out
-All fluids are drained
-Radiator and fans are out
-Heat sheild is off
-Lower kick panels are off
-Manifold bolts are loosened with the exception of one which i found out how to do so i'll do it today
-All intercooler piping was mocked up real fast and seems to line up perfectly
So i'm taking a half day at work today to go for a job interview and then i'mheadin home to hopefully get more done. Im' gonna try to get the manifold off today, get the o2 sensor off, drill the hole in my exhaust manifold and tap it for the EGT sensor, mount up the turbo and manifold, mount the intercooler piping. And then probably leave the rest for tomorrow. So far its going painless. Saturday will be the day for the oil pan, connecting all the i/c pipes, doing the oil and water lines. Then sunday i'll just swap out the plugs, button everything up, and fire her up early in the am so i can get to a shop to get the down pipe fabbed up
