I think what Fox is trying to say is that a kit like this leaves some things out, but that you could still make it work for less money. Will it be as high quality as RRM? Possibly not, but I'm pretty sure that for 4,000 I could build a custom kit that could out-perform it. Ram-horn manifold, a tune by Al, Injectors, fuel pump, a/f guage, egt guage, boost/oil/guages, 16g turbo, etc. But I'm a do it yourself guy. When people on these boards get confused and aren't willing to put in a little muscle or thought when they do have time but just aren't willing to learn, their only hurting themselves. If a 18 year old can know nothing about cars and change out an engine (me) then I'm sure the other folks on this board are just as capable.

For RRM, you pay quality and don't have any hassle. For the same price though a local shop may build you a turbo kit and back it with their personal warranty. It's all a matter of perspective, but I do appreciate what RRM has done for the community, because even though I wouldn't personally pay the premium for their products, they were some of the strongest competition in the lancer community which can only lead other manufacturer's to put forth products that compare in either price or quality. I see nothing wrong with competition, it's how business is run.

The way I see it, the problem is weak initiative and a low work drive. Get your hands dirty!

Agreed. I believe the community needs more originality rather than just "Don't do that, get what everyone else has." I think thats one reason we don't have much afermarket support, or any info on the extra stuff available. Because the people wanting to try the stuff are discouraged because "it will be too much of a headache to mess with." So the companies that do produce for us don't make any money off of it because no one wants to travel off the beaten path. I say, if theres something you want to try out, do it. Don't ask for opinions or if you should. Just say, this is what I'm doing, I will keep you updated.

Now, away from the emotional speeches. The A2-Design kit comes with everything needed except for fuel control. That is a plus in my mind because you are not stuck with a faulty or below par FMU that comes with the kit. It has all of the piping and stuff though. Some people don't like the vortech FMU offered with another kit. But you end up paying for it comes you have to for the kit.

yeah i know, but they do everything custom, so if i know what i want.. im sure they could throw in the parts for a good price..

but at the same time is doesnt matter.. its still a lancer, and im happy that other companies have invested in our cars..

Not really sure, I didn't order the kits. You'll know for sure in a couple of days when those pictures surface from the depths of A2D HQ.
