boost leak?

for the past 2 months i'v been having a slight misfire at idle that would come and go. But my car would drive and boost fine. I replaced plugs, wires, coils did a compression check and checked for any vac leaks etc. Until today i was driving and about five min after i left my house at idle the car would start to run real rough. And my boost gauge would rise to 15hg vac, sometimes it would drop back to normal (20hg) but soon rise back to 15hg and start to run rough. Also when driving it would hesitate just a bit under boost. The leak must have just got alot worse. My ? is this for sure a boost leak, and what would the boost gauge all read, the intercooler piping and the vac lines that are running off the boost gauge 3 way tee or all the vac lines connected to intake manafold. Thanks

well if it's only at idle, it's a vacuum leak since you're not boosting. have you cleaned your sparkplug seats like i said the last time? if not, it could just be where your MAS is placed and you can't do anything about it. you could also check to make sure your MAS harness is making good contact as that was a problem with someone's car at the last meet i went to.

yea i checked he spark plug seats. i didn't drive it for that long because it was running so poor. But on acc it would hesitate just alittle. If it was because of the position of the mas wouldn't it have always ran poor and everyone else with this kit. I'v had the kit for about 2 1/2 years now and this is the only prob i'v had, Unless im not following what your saying. Thanks

Does anyone know if our car has a charcoal canister and if we do is it right by the throttlebody which connects to the throttle cable. And if so would that cause a vac leak if was faulty? Enough to cause the symtoms im describing.

I took it for a drive around the block today to see how it acted and it is still losing vacuum but it boost like it always has and im not loosing boost pressure. When i rev the motor the vac returns to 20hg but only for a sec then i loose it and it goes to 15/13hg and starts to run horride.
