lol. Amby. Cut this dude a break.

With minimal mods and a basic kit your looking at around 170 I would assume. Give or take a little bit.

I just don't like it when people treat turbos like bolt-ons. It's such a horrible way of viewing it and vastly oversimplifies things.

No, you make a good point amby. He didn't make it clear what supporting mods he has/would have. Even that little piece of info would make the question a lot easier to answer. He didn't really specify.

5 psi = 165-175 hp

7 psi = 185-190hp

my opinion on expected gains

Ok since you apparently don't understand the words I'm typing, I'll dumb it down even further.
1. You are treating a turbo like bolt on, hell you are treating a turbo like a crappy bolt on.
2. You are asking for a round number, which cannot be given.
3. You haven't given us any other information like what other mods you have, what kind of tuning, etc., you've basically asked "if I buy this how much power will I make?" expecting people to just say X hp. This is like asking an oncologist (a cancer specialist) what your risk of cancer is. There are so many variables that this number could vary from 1 in a million to 1 in 1.1.
4. If you want to learn, shut your mouth and listen to people. Do some reading on this forum and maybe get more than 34 posts before you start asking the same stupid question over and over again.

I'm not picking a fight, I'm simply tired of noobs asking stupid (or rather basic) questions that can be answered with a 30 second search in the appropriate forum. I answered his question several times, he just didn't want to listen.

amby; agreed, but remember that there is no way to tell a person's actual number of posts. for instance, mine says 195, then if u go to "find more posts" that says 997, but i actually have closer to 1400 or so.

ok for Majuljo, an easy way to find an answer to a possibly already answered question is to search. even if u go to the RRM website, they have some different turbo kits and expected hp numbers. granted these are pre-made kits as opposed to what some of us do (custom), but it gives u the nice round #.

and yes, to all those asking, if doing it custom by yourself it takes a LOOOONG time. i started procurring parts for my 16g project back in nov. 05!!! i had the goal to have it running by april 06, now april 07 isn't even in the cards. maybe by summer :P but i'm also doing full internals, head work, valvetrain, intake and tb work etc, so maybe that's y it's taking so long! being in school full time doesn't help either

now, back to the originally schedued program. any word on that rattling problem? did u get the turbo back on and running nice?

I did help you, reread my posts. Was I blunt? Yes, but I also didn't give you any BS.
