Here's a picture from pre-assembly, I was trying out the fittings I replaced and gaskets, accounting for nuts and bolts. Everything looks good.

Not true. you can anodize pretty much any metal, even some plastics too as strange as it sounds, although the process is a little different. its pointless to anodize steel that rusts easily as the rust will flake off the anodized coating.

looks real good man, but why, if you are running only 5 psi and a non ICed kit...did you get the T-28? why not the T-25?

T-28 is a slightly superior turbo to the T-25. Pretty much same spool time but with a little better flow rating I believe.

Yes I am running a T28 now... I had a t25 and it was used and had play in the shaft, turns out the turbo was shot and needed a whole new cartridge which i had replaced by gpopshop.com. These guys were friendly and they kept good communication. I had originally sent in for basic rebuild and porting, but i had issues with the hard parts which theyfully replaced and ported the exhuast chambers of the turbo! Looks better than new and hope it works better than the t25.

rebuild basic with seals and everything is 250, and porting of the exhuast is 80$ for me. I payed 600 to get t28 and porting with shipping.

looks great.

I went and had a custom downpipe made with a new flex section and had my wideband reinstalled. I'll post pics tommorow.

I might be intercooling from the get go this time cus i feel uncomfortable with the non ic setup. I have an evo9 intercooler, and the guy who made my downpipe, said he could do it for 250$, full aluminum with mandrel bends.

i think it will be a good turbo setup. may run a tad hott. but if you wanna put in a higher bar for the wastegate, def. get an intercooler. upgrading the fuel system is prolly gunna have to be done as well to run a little more boost

That's an awesome price for the basic. It looks really good.

How long was the turn around time?

16g isn't neccesary on this platform imho. It's a nice turbo for sure but at lower than ten psi i don't see a point of that big a turbo. A t28 is a good size.

turnaround was 3 weeks from the day i sent it till the day i received it back. but i procrastinated half way through when i was told it would need more help.
