Just to state the facts (and not bash), a brief timeline of RIPP & EvoM...
- After a bit of R&D, RIPP released the 4G94 kit to great interest.
- After a few blown engines (which was something of a "dirty little secret"), they "perfected" their Black Box piggyback
- Happy times, happy SC cars
- Couple modifications released, RIPP gets harder to get ahold of
- 4G94 kit is dramatically modified, Black Box is no longer included
- RIPP fades away, stops posting, stops answering questions
- 4G94 kit is no longer even listed on RIPPMODS.COMwebsite...

Well, it's a shame that there are great companies out there like Jackson Racing that only want to boost Civics and Miatas.
There is a nice company that did turbos and S/C for Tirbuons called Alpine Developments. There is another called Next Generation Motorsports. Maybe the smaller companies like these who have been putting out killer kits for them could look into it.

When I go to autocross, guess how many Civics and Miatas I see.
Now guess how many Lancers I see (short answer - never seen one other than the one I came in).

Crap, here we go again. This thread is for those interested in a supercharger kit. Not a turbo kit...we have all heard the speculation about Mitsubishi, and we are all aware of RRM making theirs, and the rumors about WORKS making theirs.
No one however, has mentioned about making a supercharger kit. It will have to be custom made, and proven for it to be considered I think.
Yes superchargers are complicated, but dont have to be as complicated as a turbo. With a low boost application, you dont need an intercooler, just ventilation. Like say, 5psi. Most low boost kits dont intercool. However for most above 5psi say 5-8psi usually needs a small intercooler, or liquid cooler. All you need for a supercharger kit...low boost...is the supercharger, belt, headers, intake manifold, and tuning. This is taken from what I have researched, I am no expert...but all that are so down on superchargers, its really a good option for those who arent looking to add 150whp, but those who want to spend up to $2000 for 50-90whp.
