well right now its all either muscle cars or this kid who has an exact replica of the green Eclipse from Fast and the Furious 1, another (whos my friend) who has an 05 subaru wrx impreza with exhaust and speakers. and with jocks its all pickup trucks. basically everybody just buys a semi attractive car, slaps on an exhaust and big speaker system and calls it a day. i'll probably go with the advice posted in your FAQ section on light budget buyers, it sounds like a good idea. after high school though, definitely going for a Toyota Supra, that's been my dream car

exact replica of the F&F Eclipse? i dont know if i want to throw up or say cool. its riceroni. or did he just buy the one from VOLO (which was the one in the movie)?

hehe i bet half of those kids can't even drive those cars. Im a senior in high school and i beat my friends 05 mustang GT just because it takes him 3 seconds to shift. I'm defiantly sticking with this car for at least 5 years if I can't trade it in for a ralliart, but I didn't buy this car to show off in high school. I really wanted a used Evo, (basically any used car would have been faster) but my mom wouldn't co-sign a loan for a used car. And since I had already saved up about $5,000 for a downpayment, and I make about $600 a month from my job, i figured that i would just get the 08 Lancer and turbo it, maybe rebuild the engine to handle more boost, ect. to try and get it as similar to an Evo HP and TQ wise. I don't care about the looks tho, it already looks nice and everyone in school automatically assumes they are going to loose in a race against it just because it looks fast, but I don't street race so they never find out how slow it is.
I do plan on attending some autox, and maybe some rally races in the near future.

so what would you recommend for aftermarket that i might be able to afford. so far i've got:
-Apex'i N1 muffler and exhaust (a guy from youtube said he'll get it to me cheap)

OK, this thread is no longer about Turbonator, so it needs to go be closed.
theSidesweep - if you have any other Lancer questions, start new threads for them. Lancer General might be a good choice if you want to do the stuff like "is it a good car?" or "what mods should I get?" If you have specific questions (like this one was), then post them in the subforums for that area of the car (engine, suspension, etc.) Thanks!
