Focus on the area of the drawing with the "cross tip screwdriver." This is how you relieve tension off of the timing belt. You stick a screwdriver through the hole in the bracket that comes off that tensioner and tilt the screwdriver toward the front of your car. This will loosen tension off of the timing belt allowing you to remove it. You do the same thing when you need to put the timing belt back on.

Well guys my wife has basically had enough with this, lol. Ive been w/out a car for a few weeks now and my job is 15 miles away(borrowing from people sucks). We are going to return the car to stock and sell my parts to have someone put this cover on.

I am really upset now as I was so ****ing close and somthing so small turned out to be so big! Ive swapped a couple subaru's and honda's before but I couldnt even do this... lol

If anyone wants a full 16G turbo kit ready to bolt on(ive already made all the mods to it to fit, manifold, 3" downpipe, etc). I will sell it all for like $750 shipped! Turbo only has 20k on it. I will make a FS thread soon w/ full parts list.

There really is no reason to have replaced the entire front case just to address that tiny crack. That crack could've been aluminum welded or simply JB welded. I had a crack in my front case on the back side, JB welded it and have never seen the leak since. You need to properly clean it, scuff up the surface and follow the instructions to perfection otherwise you will not get it to stick.

Check all your connections. Especially the ones on the timing belt side from when you tried replacing the front case. Make sure you didn't accidentally switch the connectors for the crankshaft position sensor and coil pack. It's an easy mistake to make when connecting the harness. Also make sure all your ground connections are clean and secure.

Is it cranking and not firing or is it not even cranking?

Ok. Next step is to check if you're getting fuel and spark.

Soo.. my car idles reallly badly right now, all of my vac lines seem good, ive like quad-checked them, it also makes a bad hissing sound

I had a po303 but I think thats from the fuel pump being wired bad and not working(fixed now and cleared the code, its not back on)
