RRM turbo FAQ thread
update:
the car is still running strong. This turbo kit has been on my car for about 3-4 years now. 5 speed manual trans with almost 100,000 miles. I'd say easily half or more than half was with the turbo kit in place. Still getting about 410+ miles to every tank on 91 octane.

You are not the only one having this great result. Congrats though. Even looking at your dyno numbers in you sig amazes me to this day. Getting the mileage you get and getting almost 100+ Ft lbs of torque over stock is an amazing result. That means that to the crank (like what is measured for the car Brochure by Mitsu) you are well over 100+ h.p. and 100+ torque. Glad you are happy and that you have been one of the early turbos and still running fine with no failures.

The kits are done right. Lots of guys have years and many miles on them. They are tuned to be fast but reliable too. This is another example. Thanks for the post.

Have been watching these forums for years and never got around to posting.
I have had 3 n/a cars boosted and this by far has been the best kit. 2009 2.4l
Kit has been installed since the summer and I've put nearly 10k miles on it and man has it been a blast!
Just wanted to say thanks!

So I went to Carmax a couple months back to get a quote for my 2008 Lancer GTS, 5-speed with the Road Race Motorsports turbo kit on and the carmax people loved it. So much so that they offered me $8,000 to sell to them. And this was after having 2 of their technicians drive the car to ensure the aftermarket turbo kit was "worth" the 8 grand purchase. I even had a stipulation in my quote that said if my turbo kit was removed, the sale was void.
Fast forward to know I have a 2013 Scion FR-S and I know for a fact no dealer would've given me 8 grand for a 100,000 mile + vehicle with an aftermarket turbo kit....but Carmax was willing. I had to jump on the deal.
Having a n/a car again makes me immediately miss my turbo lancer. Sad to see it go. The lancer took car of me and never left me stranded or broke. props to rrm for a great, reliable kit that also netted me a good profit over dealer trade-in.
at times, i still miss my lancer. that thing was peppy as f*&^ after the turbo kit install.
