well the next upgrade I want for right now in time is a new clutch, and maybe a crank pulley (RRM). in the future, I want to do pistons and maybe crank and up the boost, since the rods in our car are already forged. although, I do need some gauges (AEM UEGO, oil psi, new boost gauge, maybe EGT)

I say its time for a full 3" turbo back exhaust! with a test pipe! lol hello check engine lights!

Sorry if I missed it in an earlier post.. but how much boost are you running then? I'm assuming its controlled via a MBC rather than the ecu, since (I think) there aren't stock boost parameters in a non-turbo ecu.

Once he upgrades the exhaust he should have no issue , he have those things under control now

why 2.5"?

3" would be more of what you need.

2.5" can support tons of HP and the cost is less for the piping and for the muffler so why spend more if its not needed .

and 2.5" will provide a bit of extra back pressure for the low end lol

I have never heard of you wanting back pressure when you have a car with a turbo??? If you have back pressure your turbo will spool up slower and make less power. I would have never put an exhaust on either my STI or EVO that was less than 3".

pretty much 99% of every Lancer owner doing a kit will never see any HP over 300hp and a 2.5" exhaust is more than enough .

I suggest that people only mod there cars once and buy parts that will not hold them back from making more power. Even guys with 02-03 WRXs go with 3" exhaust rather than 2.5", and their cars are glass!
