The time has come to boost the lancer

After about a year of collecting parts it's finally time to put it all together. Inspired by Crypto's build thread and anzflip's build I started to collect parts myself to also boost my 02 lancer es. Within that year i did tons of research and learned alot of information thanks to all you great people here on evom. All the parts except for the spark plugs and a few misc parts like oil lines and hoses, have come from members here. Thank you all who helped me acquire parts and knowledge.
Anyway, I have a three day weekend coming up and thought it be a good time to start installing the kit. here is the set up:

evo VIII 16g turbo
forge waste gate (7-10psi spring)
DNA mbc
drilled out megan evo manifold
modified evo down pipe
evo intercooler and all pipping
evo intake tube
evo bov (the plastic one)
255 fuel pump
NKG spark plugs
Vortech 12:1 fmu ( I also have 330cc injectors and evo scan, but will do that later.)
Boost, oil press, and water temp gauge.(water temp is actually oil temp)

I will start on friday and will post up some pics as i install, Wfi in garage ftw!

Seconded pics of parts.

I've been buying parts too, so I'm looking at options right now.

Nice list of parts. So did you mean you will have it tuned later, as in running on 10 psi with no tune? You should probably not push it too hard until you get it tuned though just to be safe.

Awesome! Can't wait to see the finished project! I'm also curious about the manifold too.

Yeah. not going to push it untill i tune. Going with stock injectors for now because i only have the garage for a few days. Once i can get it running and can get it to the tunning shop i will put the injectors in and have them tune it for me.I figure with the intercooler i should probly loose about 1 lbs of pressure.
here is a pic of the manifold. thanks to Kimchee:

I strongly suggest you get it tuned as soon as you install the kit. It might last without a tune but personally I don't think it's worth the risk. All it takes is a really cold or really hot day and you're out a motor.

I would not install the MBC while you have that 10psi spring in the wastegate. Just by installing the MBC you'll gain anywhere from 2-5psi, depending on the manufacturer. 10-12psi is really the limit on the 4G94 and even at 10psi you're severely straining the internals. I wouldn't run the MBC if I were you.

ok. see i have the 7- 10 psi spring. how do i keep it at 7psi not 10? also do you think the stock evo bov will hold to much boost causing boost surge? should i get one thats not so stiff?

In that case, you'll be fine. The WGA will open at 7psi and you won't build anymore boost past that. In terms of using the Evo BOV, I'm not sure if the 7-10psi of boost will properly vent. I believe there are other members that used the Evo BOV on their setups.

Have you test fitted yet? I may just try doing that instead of welding...

ok. so tuner shop cant fit me in untill the 3rd week of Sep. but for using the fmu with stock injectors and 7 psi boost its going to be a simple tune. I will post pics and details on the install on saturday.(real time) hope that some of you will be on hand for any problems that may arise with this project. I am going to use the stock down pipe from the evo on my car so i will need to take it to the muffler shop so they can extend it for me. other than that i should be ok.
