Those are some skinny H beams. Did they give a power rating?

The manifold will be 1.75, the exhaust and down pipe will be 2.5.

I couldn't agree more. Every since the K1 rods came out, I've been skeptical of what they would hold for what they cost. Crower or Pauter are the safer routes IMO.

My stock I beam rods were about that thick and not forged and they hold over 300whp/tq just fine. These shouldnt have a problem holding the same power and then some. Its not like anyone is really breaking that 300whp mark by some margin

When I had K-1 make the 4G94 rods, the biggest concerns were how much power they could handle ,realistically, and weight. They were designed to handle 400 hp and they are within a few grams of the stockers weight. K-1 makes quality parts. I know of some bad *** race cars that use K-1 products. If someone can over power these rods and snap one, I'd love to see it.

Well, our project car is currently at 250 whp on 12psi and pump gas.(this is tuned for break in only) We are going to try our best to break the record and then some. We will be giving these components one hell of a work out so we shall see what they can handle.

i would love to see all of speedcorps parts pushing 350+.. would really give alot of people confidence in there products.. maybe speedcorp should consider promoting there products by challenging people to try to break them!

ill be getting some speedcorprods/pistons soon. because they are definatelly better then stock, and im confident they would handle 12-15psi with my setup easy.

A challenge? I love a challenge. I have a couple ideas I'm throwing around in my head. I'll see what I can come up with.

youve got plenty of turbo, you just need some revs to have a powerband

It has been a couple months and I am finally ready to build my motor. The only thing I need is the head gasket, does anyone know where to pick up the oem for cheap?

Cant believe it has been almost a year since I got all the parts to do my build.

Finally got it going, engine should be back together tomorrow.

Hope to have it running and tuned within the next 2 weeks, or next year, seems to be the way its been going.

Have you sleeved your block? If so, why didn't you have the deck surfaced?
