injector question

ok i read a lot of threads about fuel injectors my friend has a set of dsm 450 and i was wondering if these injectors would fit i know there is high impedance and low impedance injectors does anyone know what these injector's are and what ones we need?

um.. well thats gunna depends on what car your pulling them from.. 450's? im not sure what dsm has those, but an evo is 550cc, and there low impedence, were high impedence..

straight swaps.. are the 460cc (2nd gen?) rx7 injectors, and the 440cc wrx(02-03) injectors.

do a search, there was a good thread about this recently.

either go get some wrx injectors, if you want something used and cheap...(hope none of them are bad)
or go to RC and get a decent set.. and your dont need anything over about 500cc really, atleast not with the size turbo and amount of boost you will be running more then likely.

i did one for your..

if it is the wrong impedence then you will need some resistors, but i dont know anything about those, im to lazy to research it.

The dsm 450s are low impedance, you'll need the resistor box.

Older DSMs have resistor boxes, or you could just wire resistors inline with your setup. Hondas also had resistor boxes IIRC .... dont quote me on that though.

Resistors give you a much wider realm of injector choices, but realistically, you can find high impedance injectors at a reasonable price at typically cc ratings for most boosted applications here. ANyone looking at big boost is probably looking at some sort of aftermarket engine mgmt. which can accommodate the low impedance injectors.

so have you decided to go with them? I may since it seems like I'm not getting enough fuel right now...

same here. Im running RC 370cc and I am leaning out 12.2-3 AFR at 4K rpms @ 10 psi with my values on ecuflash maxed out 7.4 i think...
