I think for a 5 speed CVT would even better, bigger spacing between gears, would make it way more fun to drive, especially with a turbo. A 5 speed CVT reflash was underway last year but no idea what the final end product was. It was for a rally project. But they didnt seem interested in retailing it out
6 speed would be nice, but with it comes reliability issues, and its something that Mitsubishi has considered many times over and over again, but at the end of the day, the beefier 5speed manual is the best option. They just havent R&D'd a 6 speed manual, money went elsewhere, into the 6speed auto.
