Zeitronix or forget it guys. You need more than a gauge. You need something that can drive a gauge but more importantly, logs data on a laptop. ZT-2 does both. We cut our tuning time in half and do twice as good a job on the tune since we went to this system. I cannot emphasize the importance of this enough.

lol alright alright and what I meant about the piggyback, was a separate black box under the hood somewhere. IMO it looks bad, no matter how "clean" the install is....not saying yours is bad or anything! did you order those covers from the dealer btw?
oh and I have a prosport boost gauge you can buy, its not off, its accurate lol
well i have never heard of any other lancer reaching 288 whp, have you? also, read the last page of the xtremeboost thread if you want the TRUTH instead of LIES! also, new motor is in and running and has been for a while now lol

you also have to remember that a company wants to produce a product that is safe, and reliable. No company in ther right mind would send out a product that is at it's breaking point because it would get a bad reputation. RRM knows what the limits are and does their product push the limit? Probably not because that wouldnt give good reliability. Now if a customer tweaks it beyond that is on them.
Now if you want to compare max power it would be unfair to then compare the RRM base kit which runs reliably (yes i am biased, i had a stage 2 turbo kit for over 50K miles on my lancer that i drove daily with no issues) versus a tweaked vendor setup that blows up engines, yes prior to blowing up it probably did put down more power, but for how long?

wow, and still, people do not understand.
XTREMEBOOST DID NOT TURN THE BOOST UP ON THIS KIT. THE OWNER/DRIVER/OPERATOR OF THE VEHICLE (ME) DID. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS. XTREMEBOOST'S KIT WORKS PERFECTLY, WITH NO FLAWS. BEFORE THE SECOND TUNE, THE CAR RAN FINE FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS AND ABOUT 6,000 MILES (FOR AS LONG AS IT HAD THE TURBO ON), WITH NO PROBLEMS, OR SIGNS OF PROBLEMS. GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT PEOPLE!
Its like taking RRMs "reliable" kit, adding a MBC, and turning up the boost to 9/10 and seeing what happens, as I said before
oh and also, i still have not found out FOR SURE if it was the tune (because of the dyno) causing me to run lean.....havent talked to Jestr lately.

I think a) your argument over the thread for Xtremeboost Vs RRM has been about power and cost. And theres no doubt so far that Xtremeboost may cost less, but its obvious the company itself isnt viable and doesnt stand behind its products, and the power that was made that you posted and bragged about, was obviously past the engine's limits. So if you take away that number and put the number that it would have been reliably (not even considering xtremeboost's business practices) it is the same as an RRM. Only RRM has been tried and true to be a very helpful company (despite a few hiccups lately with some people) and they have countless lancers of all years on the road with zero issues.
and b) I just think a lot of people want you to say straight out what you dance around.
Xtremeboost put together a basic turbo setup for your car. It wasnt a kit. It wasnt available to the general public with at least 2-3 cars working fine with it. Its just a custom kit that anyone could have pieced together. Their kit + your boost happiness destroyed your car. Theres nothing Professional, Marketable, or Proven Reliable about Xtremeboosts "kit". So they cannot be compared with RRM in terms of a turbo "kit". All they had was an Xtremeboost stamped custom turbo setup. Thats it
