ok cool that answers alot thanks now one more thing do you have a rough guesstament to what horsepower range the trans will hold up to?

More than any Lancer here has. Upwards of 400-450hp and then you need to be concerned.

True. I should've clarified. On the flip side, auto trannys haven't really been tested for max HP strength. The torque converter gives out around 225-250hp. After that, most have converted to manual trans.

Yeah I'm glad I actually read that because now I know what I can top out at with my car. If I do blow out the auto though I'll just do a 5 speed swap like everybody does and most likely like it more anyway. Manual makes any car fun to drive, lol.

hey what about the crankshaft? Like i know you can get pistons and rods, but there arent many places that sell the crank for the 4g94. What hp is the stock crank good for?

Nobody is making near enough horsepower to put the integrity of the crankshaft into question...
