Tech question for lancer/dsm swaps

Hello, I have been browsing your forums for the past week, and i have some questions after searching.

I am selling my 97 eclipse RS and am going to get an 02 oz lancer.

I already have a turbo kit started and want to build my own for a lancer.

I am planning on a tweeker/starter kit from RRM. I already have an fmu and guages.

I wanted to know if any stock Mitsubishi injectors will work for a turbo aplication. (ex. 3g eclipse 4g64 injectors)

And will the 4g63t DSM fuel pump work?

Any info is greatly benificial.
Thanks

P.S. great site!

Fuel pump will work, but I'm not too sure about the injectors.

I remember someone in the forums using 4g64 injectors, but i thought they had to add resistors because of the wrong impedence.

Do you know what Ohm lancer injectors are, or any aftermarket substitutes?

4g64 injectors are high impedence. 4g63 injectors are low impedence.

EDIT: Try the WRX and various different kinds of O rings. Normal ones will not work.

No offense anyone but I would keep the eclipse. Not trying to dis the lancer but ... the eclipse has better looks and more power even in its lower trim. You could keep the RS and spend 3k on a turbo kit from Hahns race craft and beat a stock GST/GSX. That is by a full second. OR you could get a lancer and and throw a kit on it, but I believe the 420a engine would be a better bet. As for the injectors use the ones from a GST/GSX. Why wouldnt the GST/GSX fuel pump work? You would be fine with one of those. There is some detailed thread about it around here somewhere.

I actually have put a lot of thought into what i should do with my car. It all comes down to the fact that my eclipse is a lemon.

With all the money that we put into purchasing that car and keeping the damn thing on the road, I could have payed off about half of an Evolution buy now. It is broken almost every other week!

I just decided to go with one of a few options.
1. keep dumpin my money into a crappy car
2. trade for a gsx and dump a lot of money into a decent car
3. buy a newer mitsubishi and dump ALL my money into one that might run for more than a month without breaking down.

If a lancer came cheap enough with a decent horsepowered engine, I wouldn't bother with the turbo kit, but 130hp in a four door aint gonna cut it. In other words, i'm not lookin for the 1320 record, but i just want decent acceleration.

If that is the case just wait for the ralliart lancer in 2004 with the 160 hp.

"3g eclipse 4g64 injector"

Stock is 240cc, just the same as the lancer. No need to swap.

Don't believe me. Check out Club3g's FAQ.

Whatever hot shot. I have been around this forum for quite sometime now, by the looks of it much longer than you. He was asking for peoples opinions thats what I gave him. As for the knock on the 420a engine. Lets state 2 facts here compared to a stock Lancer motor.
1. It is in stock form, more powerful.
2. When T/C it is also more powerful.
I would also like to note that this is a mitsu lovers site also. There are many on here that love the EVO and its Lancer sibling but alot of us have been playing with mitsus for a long time and are old DSMers. I own an eclipse and visit the board frequently, big deal same with alot of the mirage guys. Whoop de do.
By the way...I could ask you the same question if you wont to be arrogant. Why would you want to turbocharge a Lancer? It only has a 120bhp? Why would you spend 3k on some turbo kit only to acheive around a common number 180hp. I put more to the wheels than you do at your crank. We could go back and forth like this all day. My point basically is DONT BE A DICK when some one is given their opinion in a respectable manner. Oh yeah did you even notice what the subject was? Tech question for Lancer/DSM swaps?
