Turbo for CVT 09 Lancer? RRM?
/facepalm, are people genuinely comparing a lightly turbocharged Lancer to a ****ing Evo? They're not even slightly similar. At 5 PSI, I highly doubt you'll get above 200 WHP unless the baseline is 150 WHP. The car will be faster but it's not going to turn into some rocket ship to the moon.
Personally, I think there is nothing wrong with adding a turbo to the base model lancers for fun or for a little extra power, but they will never be as fast, or have the performance as the EVO wether it is drag racing, road racing, or autox period. It is too heavy, not enough power even with the turbo, and even the suspension on the GTS pails in comparision. Throw in All wheel drive, ACD, AYC, and ASC functions for the EVO and this will easily push the EVO over the top. In autocross, THe EVO X is a BSP and STU class killer, the lancer de, es, gts is not an HS class killer though the GTS is competative in that class, and adding a turbo puts the ES, DE, or GTS in Street Mod Classes were it will race against cars like triple rotor RX7's with 400WHP, 2600LBs, and 315 Hoosiers, no chance. You are buying so much more car for $30K+ buying an EVO. It is what it is.
personally i have a GTS for what it is a pretty grocery getter, for racing i used a 2001 Celica GTS 6spd but my c*nt ex-wife totaled it... sadly getting groceries lol, if you want to mod-up and make a Lancer a speed god that even the flash would poop his pants i would go for anything pre VIII since GM decided to be cute and mess it all up for the rest of us

But hey, its no surprise given everyone wants the big brother, compares to the big brother and in fantasy land on a cyber forum everything is possible.
Its just like the 335i vrs M3 debate.....if u bought the lowly model, at least u wanna feel like u can have the all around perfomance of the big bro. And yes, perfomance is not only 0-60 times or straight line

If people feel the need to turbo a base lancer, whatever floats their boats!
As the beatle song says....let it be....let it be
I don't know if anyone saw this video yet, but I found it while looking at some other lancer stuff. It's interesting to say the least, but doesn't give up too much performance specs.

As the beatle song says....let it be....let it beexactly and its not that hard to make a 4b11 into a 4b11T go figure pistons and a good balance and enuff money will make anything fast....problem is when you do spend all that money and only beat a stock evo.
RRM has posted their CVT Turbo Kit for sell here is the like for the 2.0 and all 08+ lancers that are and automatic are CVT.
