If your car is stuttering/sputtering/shaking/vibrating during acceleration, it is often one of these problems:

boost leak(s) - (check with pressure tester, not just visually)
bad spark plug wires
fouled spark plugs
incorrectly gapped spark plugs - (should be from .028 - .032)
ya plugs will do it big time. i had that happen to me a few times. what plugs u running? currntly im running an ngk bkr6e-11, which is 1 colder than stock which is a 5 heat range. ngk's are like he only ones to go up in number and go colder on plug.

Well to be honest i got so busy doing othing things i forgot to swap plugs i noticed last night when i looked over and in my passenger's door sat my box of brand new ngk bkr7e's. So i know that is some of the problem but i would of thought i could at least get to 0 vac before they would start causing an issue. But i will be putting them in tomorrow. The same time im am doing the boost leak test.

Alsoi found this and im going to get it asap! https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...y-package.html IT looks awesome.

IMO, because of how short our wires are, there really is no need for big wires. I think the magnacores are just overpriced wires. NGKs for the win.

No, our cars have two coil packs and two wires. And before you go looking to upgrade your coil packs, its unnecessary. Your stock packs will keep up with almost anything you do to your car.

Update found 3 boost leaks today. 1 was a hole in the weld on the intercooler piping near the bov. 2 was the throttle body were i did the 4g93 intake there is not that plate on the side of the intake so new gasket didnt seal there i rtved that area and put a new gasket. Lastly was the egr gasket was leaking. Those were leaks i found and i just finished replacing the gaskets. Also the plugs i receaved from the show never really looked at them were bpr7es number 5534 as soon as i looked at them i was like shoot. I should have my back up pair comming in the main soon i always like to keep a second set of plugs on hand so i hope the other place i ordered from doesnt send me the wrong ones. Im going to try the local auto stores and see if they stock any of the correct plugs today. Maybe then my stumble will be gone!

i didnt think that the bpr series wouldnt fit in our cars. the bpr is a 13/16 hex where our lancers run the bk series plugs at a 5/8 hex. try the bkr7e-11 at the number 5791.

Err..... This is starting to really bother me. I am pretty sure all my boost leaks are fixed. Idle air fuel two days ago at operating temps was 17.7 to 18 now it’s 14.7 to 15. And with boost leak tester on that rubber hose coming off the j pipe there is no boost leaks. Replaced the plugs with autolite < junk I know didn’t have njk's in stock but I have a pair coming in the mail. They are gapped to .30 and I’m still getting that stuttering/sputtering/shaking/vibrating during acceleration. Does anyone else have any ideas on what could be causing this? I am going to buy some new plug wires but these have only have 21k on them they are from a Mitsubishi dealership.

is there too much fuel going in, that was my problem during my first drive. going into boost would cause the car to jerk and grind and bump and fart lol. i had to not boost all the way to ivey when i got it tuned. it sounds just like ur problem. car would go crazy and much slower when trying to boost.
