**** it.. turbo build
well if you have an evo ecu then you already have 2 step. every evo ecu is programed with 2 step. its just a matter of setting the rpm you want 2 step to kick in at. its actually called a stationary rev limiter. when you pull up your rom on ecuflash you have to open the table called stationary rev limit. by changing that number you are changing what your car rev limits itself at when your car is sitting at a complete stop. i currently have my limit set at 4000rpm.
so my tune date is scheduled for may 31st, memorial day. paul at yimi sport sounds pretty excited to tune my car and im expecting some good numbers from one of the best ecuflash tuners on the west coast. i will post up some dyno sheets as soon as i get them . i have a few updated parts as well. i picked up and installed an evoVIII ecu, jdm evoX map sensor and an innovate lm1 wideband. the car runs beautifully with the evo ecu and ive just been doing some n/a data logging. been messing with the 2 step a lil bit too and im pretty excited to try it out with the slicks once im boosted. my goal is to be in the mid 13 second range right after tunning.
thanks! wasnt really a sacrifice though, more of a personal preference..lol i never use a/c anyways, i roll with the windows down. and ive have plenty of cars with no power steering, it just means everybody's gonna have to buy tickets to the gun show... hahaha
Update...
Ok so today I got my car dyno tunes and I'm very satisfied with the numbers. Ill post a dyno graph when I get home. I'm at 204HP and 213tq at around 10-11psi.
BUT... I'm having an issue with my crank case pressure. I keep blowing my dipstick out and spraying oil all over my engine bay. I do have one of the pcv valves capped off so I think that may be the reason why my crank case pressure is so high. in thinking if I open up that pcv valve it should drop the pressure back down. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm gonna put a oil catch can on soon anyways, but does anyone know if this will solve my problem?

my dip stick use to shoot out also.. i just ziptied mine so it cant get shot out.. i never had oil backing out of the dip stick.... but all my pcv vents blow oil pretty bad, i have them all tied into a breather/catch box now to atmosphere (and blocked all the connection points to the intake side so there arent any vacume leaks)
yah man i had the same problem what i found is that when i installed my new pisont and rods that the rings lined up and created pressure and shot out the dipstick. i broke 3 of those stupid things. so when i rebuilt my motor and made sure my piston sings were not lined up and i havent had the problem since.
