quick question about oil..

*EDIT*
Pulled oil filter off.. tried to prime it.. and no oil at all came out the filter section.

Hrmmm.. this might sound dumb.. just figured id cover my basses..
attempting to prime the oil line.. (6times or so)
was mainly just checking for fuel leaks and or oil leaks.... but umm.. no oil coming out oil feed to turbo.. any suggestions? is something not hooked up..

and yes there is oil in it.

trying to figure out why i have no oil pressure.

How long are you cranking on it? Seems like I had to crank mine for quite awhile before I got the feed line primed all the way through

ok just took it a step further.. and pulled the oil filter off.. tried to prime it and no oil came out the conection at all.. is there a sensor or something along those lines i didnt plug in? or should i assume soemthing massively wrong with my oil pump.. or does an unprimed oil pump really take that long to prime?

Ok. well i started taken the oil pan off.. and noticed the time.. stopped and ran to autozone and got everything ill need. unfortuniatly its raining now so i wasnt able to finish. cars out in the rain.. if weather is medicre tomorrow we will see if greasen up the filler neck and the pump as much as possible will fix the problem..
if it doesnt... someone come up with a new idea. dont feel like adding a 240$ oil pump to my list of parts for this week..

Try overfilling it past the point on the dipstick so the oil sits at least above tube part and try cracking it but not starting it

Just a thought

I see everyone doing it with a drill and a socket....but you'd have to remove your timing belt I'd bet. I don't know exactly where the oil pump is on these dudes.

issue was, oil pump wasnt pushing oil at all..

solution was...

simple put.. i primed the oil pump

I was unaware the oil pump was not primed, i thought i was told it was primed.. but the system was dry.. it was a missunderstanding on my part apparently.

all i did was shuve a bunch of white lithium grease into the oil pump(about 2oz), and also filled the filler neck with grease also.. filled it back up with oil.. then added an extra quart.. and first crank it instantly started pushing oil.. it was maken a weird noise at first.. like the pump wasnt filling up with oil or something.. but after the first time it actually ran for a few seconds it went away.
