My 05 lancer turboed lancer thread...never thought it would happen
I am guessing you dont have an EGT gauge? This would be helpful to assist if your engine is going to grenade until you had your WB working. I agree best idea is to just disconnect it until you can figure out your issues

I woke late today so I had to drive it with the turbo on. Since I had no wideband or egt I used evoscan and watched my TPS, knock, and ecuload like a hawk.
My throttle never went past 30, my knock count got as high as 7 for a split second as I was going on an incline. I came close to 0 PSI on one of the inclines but never actually hit it. ecuLoad got as high as 50%. Other than the occassional knock counts of 3-4 on inclines (for a split second, I must add) knock sums were at 0 for most of the time. MPH the highest I got up to was 50 on a decline with about 18-20% TPS. Gas needle did not move at all.
This was by far the most straneous ride of my life and I have to do it on the way back home. Since this worked for me I'm not going to change anything on it but I do have the evoROM ready to be flashed to the ECU. Do you guys think I should switch over to the evoROM before going home??From my reading it seems people that switch over to it don't see a knock count until about 3700-4500 RPM which I don't plan on hitting.

got it back home and saw less knock on the way back from work. I got a couple of counts of 2 knock as the highest this time.
I think it had to do with a leak the BOV had. I tighten that hose up around the nipple on the BOV and got more vaccuum. At idle it was at -15 so I'm pretty sure I have another small leak somewhere since at Idle I should be around -18 to -20 at idle.
Any way I can track the AFR right now without the wideband??

Edit:
Actually now that i say that I know i have an even better map availiable. I'm going to repost the regular non SD maps with some updated timing that should be very safe. I'll note the update in the thread when i'm done

done. I'll test it out tomorrow on my way to work. I found a place near my job that is an innovative dealer so i'll give them a call and see if they got any ideas on what's up with the wideband.
Likely all my products the default is for a mostly stock car.

with Roadspike's help I was finally able to get the evoROM written to my ecu. Now to get this damn wideband to work. I talked to a Innovative dealer near my job and he gave me some new things to try out so I'll do tomorrow afternoon after work.
