RRM cam review

Anyone that has an RRM stage one cam please chime in on your experience after installing this cam, idle, power-band, drive-ability. I just upgraded to the rrm camshaft everything seems fine except for a rough low idle.

The cam is super mild so it shouldn't cause any issues.

i would move the crank til cylinder 1 is at top dead center and aligned with the timing mark behind it, then i would make sure the timing mark on the camshaft sprocket lines up with the timing mark. i used the straight edge of a razor blade to align with the timing mark on the camshaft since it was at an angle.

I just pulled the crank pulley off the motor and check the timing marks on the camshaft sprocket and the crankshaft, they seem as close as they did when I did the timing belt. Zulu said the cam was originally an RPW and then told me right before i made the deal with him it was actually an RRM camshaft which seems odd. I had to adjust the idle up a ways to about 900 rpm. At 650 - 700 the whole engine bay is a rattle box. Might go back to stock cam.

I had trouble trying to get Ryans car to idle right with the stage 1 cam. It wasnt bad per se but just a tad rougher than mine. When I put his stock block back together last week I also put his stock cam back in so never really got a chance to see if Aaron down at ER was able to get it to idle smoother. Idles great now but yeah stock cam and much different tune than before.
