Mine is the 2.4L GTS. I don't like the RRM kit because of the 5th injector, the price and you have to replace the battery. Yes, the Tsudo can handle the back pressure no problem. The only thing is it's a 2.5" and the turbo would breath more with a 3" exhaust.

Smile RRM Kit

It is extremely pricey but I don't know about the injectors...but I read their description and you do have to get a battery. There is alot of work to get a turbo, its just not a quick install and go. I'm having seconds thoughts about getting the turbo. It would be nice but I may just go with the basics; intake, exhaust, pulley and tunes. I heard the Greddy exhaust for the Lancers can handle a turbo, so I'll go with that first and if I decide later to get the turbo I'll be good. I rather pay my car off in 2 years than pay 4-6 years for a Ralliart or EVO.

What's all this "exhaust handling a turbo" bull ****?? DO you people really think an exhaust system sees that much pressure? Miniscule! Any exhaust can handle a turbo. It's just a matter of how well it flows. Also, if you're just changing the cat back, you will see no gains. Have to change the whole system....from the header back. Simple fluid dynamics.

Sorry if im ranting, but that statement just drove me ape ****...

Smile Thanks!

Senorguitar, I appreciate your honesty. I can see your passion. I've been hearing alot exhaust, but that's why I'm here because I don't know the first thing about turbos and their exhaust. But I get what you are saying now. So I could go with any exhaust regardless of diameter? That's good to hear! Because I want to budget my build as much as I can. Thanks again!

Best advice I can give is RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH!!! Turbos are not a thing you slap on with no understanding. They can make or break your engine. If I was ever to do an exhaust on my lancer, it would be fully custom. I never buy kits because they are a waste of your money. $300 plus for just a muffler and 1 foot of pipe? Hells no! The most I paid for a full exhaust system was about $250. That's muffler, cat, resonator, piping, and labor. Turbo you want 2.5" or more. Im currently running 2.5 on my turbo'd cavalier. Flows just fine due to the size of the turbo.

If it's custom full exhaust for $250, it's certainly not stainless stell mendrel bend! The only thing that you can get for that price is ebay cheap catback. They do the job but sometime, they don't fit very well. For the Lancer, Tsudo Catback is a good choice and it's not too expensive but you loose the cat converter.

Ebay crap?? It's called having an exhaust shop bend up all the pipe for you and weld in whatever components you want. And yes it's not mandrel bent. How many exhaust shops have those? Almost none. The performance gain you get with mandrel bent is damn near unnoticable. And stainless steel doesnt really do much for ya either except make it look shiny

Hey guys,

I have a similar project I am working on here in Ottawa. One of my buddies has a self made turbo kit using mostly RA and EVOX parts on his 2010 Lancer. He was able to get the car running using a ROM from a EVOX but is experiencing many CEL for various functions. We are in the process of creating a custom ROM that will fuel a boosted Lancer. Same principal that was used to boost my 2005 Rallairt. If anyone wants more details feel free to PM me.

I don't understand people who like performance and tuning that buy automatic cars...

For a 70 000$ car I can understand but not for a 15000$ one.

Maybe it's for the girlfriend?
