2009 Lancer ES CVT Turbo tuning

I have a 2009 Lancer ES CVT which has been turboed and having trouble working out what exactly is needed to tune it for boost. The car has a cutom built turbo set up (5psi) and Im waiting for evo x injectors, fuel pump and map sensor to arrive. I have a Tactrix 2 cable and have the stock ROM and XML file. I made some changes to the factory rom to hopefully make it run with boost but ended up in limp mode. I have since been given an xml file to turn off limp mode but haven't had a chance to try it as Im waiting for the other parts to arrive.

I have read that a number of people have used evo x roms to tune there turboed lancers. What is the best evo x rom to use and what changes need to be made to make it work with the Lancer ES? Where can I download the evo x roms and xml files?

Cheers,

Daniel.

You have to use Evo X ROM, not your stock ROM. Limp mode is caused by MAP sensor.
Don't drive your car until you change MAP sensor and ROM!!!

I can't offer any advice, but when you get a chance, post some pics.
If you don't mind what's your set-up like?

I will have to get some photo's next time Im down at the work shop.

There is nothing special about the turbo set up. Its just a T28 turbo on a custom manifold, front mount intercooler and plumbing. I am still trying to work out whats needed to tune it. I have also read that I need to be careful of too much power through the CVT gearbox.

Whatever you do start with like 2 psi and work your way to 5. to see how it handles the power gains. I would say 200-220 is a good goal. sadly i can't help with the tuning issue. Other than any reg tuning shop should be able to tune it for you, and/or assist you in getting what you need to tune it.

Pics of your setup would be most useful because I am looking to turbo my es cvt the more detailed the better. So far I've heard you can run 6psi and after you fix the limp on the map its good to go

I can download and access my ROM but I'm sill having trouble tuning it. I'm now considering going to an aftermarket ecu, but not sure how that will work with the CVT controller.

Here is a picture.

After having nothing but problems trying to make the factory ecu work including paying for a tune from a tuning shop which didn't work, I have now fitted a Haltech sprint 500 ecu and it is now tuned and running. The Haltech only controls the injectors and coils and the factory ecu does everything else.
