I have some question that i would like to here from People that have turboed their lancer. 4g94
1. What are you using to monitor your Air Fuel Mix?
2. What are you using to mod your Air Fuel?
3. Are you using a Wideband 02 sensor?
4. What Rate RFPR are you using? like 12 to 1 or 9 to 1
5. Did you have to use Larger Injectors or are stock ones good?
6. Do you use a fuel pressure guage and what pressure should a turbo lancer be running?
7. Did you have to replace the lancer Fuel Pump? If so what are you using now?
Please i beg you not to start the RRM Kit pushing or Bashing please lets keep the info clean

2. AEM EMS
3. AEM UEGO
4. 12:1 Vortech FMU. I need too play with this once I get the car running again. I think the pressure was too high for the injectors I was using.
5. I was using 440cc WRX injectors, but will be returning to stock injectors for a while when I get the car running again this spring/summer.
6. No, but I have a Defi-Link gauge to install this spring as well. Should be around 43lbs.
7. Yes. Walbro 2g GS-T 255lph pump.
My own personal feelings:
Neither RPW's nor Road Race's kit provided what I wanted in my turbo setup. That's why I went custom. I ended up spending a bit more, but not a lot more, plus I had a larger turbo and standalone engine management. The EMS has been both a blessing and curse. I've never had a proper tune, but I believe this is due entirely to the amount of sudden changes to my fuel system. Basically I've spend a bit more money on dyno tuning in order to diagnose a complicated problem. I'm going to be eliminating a few possibilities when I rebuild my motor, but this means a basemap-up retuning for me (which is again both good and bad). I think the best thing to do is figure out what your end goal is, research till you're blue in the face, then redetermine/reaffirm your end goal, and start buying and building accordingly. If you plan on running 5-7lbs from now till eternity then you'd probably love the RRM or RPW kits, but if you have loftier then you may want to consider a custom build.

Here are some GB prices of TCs . . . It's not the modern twin scroll of the current EVO, but you get the general idea.

cool so FMU plus 300cc injectors plus SAFC plus 255 walbro fuel pump should be good to go.
I see that hobie is using 440cc injectors from a subie are they a direct fit???

WRX injectors. You need new O Rings. I don't think I'd recommend them at this point though due to the problems with fuel delivery I've had. I can't say for sure it was the injectors alone. They were bench tested and performed, but they're certainly a possible variable for the failure in my car.
hey mcpcola what did you think of the turbo on my car it was set at 6psi and i weight 230 plus your weight and all my stuff in the trunk and i had a full tank of gas.and i have 6000 miles on the turbo average about 27mpg.i have beat mustang gt tiburon gt spec v mitsu 3000gt i have that on tape, and numerous civics.had my *** handed to me by a svt cobra he puts 400hp to the ground and a lightning. so my only problem with rrm kit is the pipe bends.
**** good power but the price for the rrm kit is so high i have a 14b from a 1g eclipse lined up but i want to get my fuel right and i and not sure what all i need for a basic setup.
