TSI Extreme?

Sorta new to the forums, did my research with the search button. I am either blind or I just failed at searching (One of the two!). Just wanted to know more about their KIT I see. I would RATHER piece my own, but this is just my daily and I don't want to go through to much of a hassle. Is the kit legit and strong, plus any modifications through out the bay? Currently have a 03 OZ.

crap. just build ur own.

lol nah i donno.. not many people have bought one because of the price difference in building ur own. u can literally spend less then 1000 and have a full setup.

ur only actual down time with turboing is getting the oil pan welded with a oil return. and getting it tuned. its a 4 hour install and 1 hour tune if u have all that taken care of already. 2 day install if ur completely blind and lose tools 24/7 and dont really know what ur doing.

Not sure about the full TSI Extreme Kits. Price seems way high for what you get. But the Cast Manifold/Garrett Turbo portion of the kit is descent. Thats what I'm running on my car. The rest of my setup was all pieced though. Ended up spending around $2000 for everything I needed. Plus my Initial tune at English Racing.

I thought about buying one of those complete kits when I started shopping around, but didn't like the extra injector and so called stand alone it came with. Cheap looking for the price. as well as the piping/intercooler.

Demon has the right idea though. You would be better off piecing your kit together. There are plenty of EVO guys out there that upgrade their setups and are usually willing to part with their stock turbo's, piping and itercoolers for pretty cheap. $1000 to $2000 should get you everything you need. + tune.

Best thing you can do though is read the sh*t out Evom forums. cause If you end up serious about making this happen, just make sure you take the time to learn as much as you can. Tons of great sticky's that explain pretty much everything. and there are some great members here that are willing to help, as long as you make the effort to educate yourself. Good luck, hope you make the jump many of us have.

I was thinking of going the route of piecing. I don't know much about these Engines, but seeing has people have done the 4G64 Swap into theirs, it was either going that route and going turbo, or turbo the current Engine. Guess I was hoping for the easy way out!

not many people have done a 4g64 swap. just the 1 or two that have, have documented it pretty well.

I am now in both my lancers. just people its a bete platform for big power. but costs alot more.

Demon - I read most of them, and looking at the swap it really isn't that complicated. A few friends actually have the Engine/Tranny from a 2G.

Beautiful - That..sounds wrong how I did that ha. Anyways, I have actually never heard of them. I shall look into that!
